Pastor Kemp, We Remember.
One of the greatest pastors in the world.
On first Sunday, June 5, 1994, through the faithful prayers of members of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, God sent Rev. Arthur L. Kemp to conduct his first service for us. On this date, he was accompanied by his lovely wife, Sis. Doris Kemp and their children, Ursula and Sterling. Acting Pastor Kemp carried out the sacrament of the Holy Communion which demonstrated how God had adequately equipped his young servant in the beginning of his ministry. Due to other church obligations, Rev. Kemp was not able to serve again for us until August 7, 1994. On September 18, 1994, a special call meeting was held and we unanimously elected Rev. Kemp as our new pastor and gave him and Sis. Kemp a hearty congratulations as our new first family.
Rev. Kemp was installed as the Pastor of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church on December 11, 1994. The church rejoiced in this celebration with our new Pastor and first family.
Through Pastor Kemp’s leadership, numerous accomplishments have occurred in the life of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church family. A few of these accomplishments are the construction of a new church sanctuary (June 2004), establishment of numerous new church ministries, financial support to National and State Conventions and civic associations, eight initial sermons and six ordinations of new ministers, and the ongoing winning of lost souls to Christ.
